Prep Time 10 minutes mins
Cook Time 20 minutes mins
- 8 oz cream cheese softened
- 8 tablespoon bacon bits about 1 slice of cooked and crumbled bacon
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- ¼ cup shredded cheddar cheese
- ¼ cup cup feta cheese
- ¼ cup finely chopped tomato
- 2 tablespoon finely chopped cilantro
- 1 tablespoon green onion
- 7-8 each whole fresh jalapeños
Prepare the Jalapeños
Clean the jalapenos and remove the seeds and white membranes. Rinse them thoroughly. Wearing latex gloves is a great idea to protect your hands from the spicy oils.
Make the Filling
In a small bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, bacon bits, lime juice, shredded cheddar cheese, feta cheese, chopped tomato, cilantro, and green onion. Mix well to create a smooth, cheesy filling.
Stuff the Jalapeños
Slice the jalapeños in half length-wise. Use a piping bag with a tip to fill each jalapeño half with the cream cheese mixture.
Bake
Place the stuffed jalapeños on a baking sheet in a single layer. Bake at 350°F for 18-20 minutes until the tops are golden brown.
