An Honest Review of our Stay at TRYP by Wyndham Corfu Dassia in Corfu, Greece

A personal review of TRYP by Wyndham Corfu Dassia, including the rooms, cleanliness, pool, staff, location, elevator, and nearby waterfront walking trail.

During our trip to Corfu, we stayed at TRYP by Wyndham Corfu Dassia, and overall, it ended up being a really comfortable place to stay for a night before getting on the catamaran. It was clean, easy, and the staff made the stay feel simple in the best way.

There were a couple of small things to know before booking, especially when it comes to the elevator and the area around the hotel. But would I stay there again? Yes, especially if I wanted a clean, quiet, well kept hotel in Dassia with helpful staff and a relaxed atmosphere.

    First Impressions

The first thing I noticed was how clean the hotel felt. The property felt well cared for, which is always one of the biggest things I look for when choosing a hotel.

TRYP by Wyndham Corfu Dassia is located in Dassia, on the eastern side of Corfu. The hotel’s official site describes it as being close to Dassia Beach, which matched the general feel of the stay, you are not far from the water, but you may still need to follow the right road to get to the prettiest walking area. The hotel itself has a boutique feel without being fussy.

    The Rooms

The rooms were clean and comfortable.

The room had enough space for a short stay and worked well as a place to come back to after exploring. I would not describe it as overly large or luxurious, but it was exactly what I needed: clean, comfortable, and easy.

For me, the cleanliness was the standout. That is one of those things that can make or break a hotel stay, and TRYP by Wyndham Corfu Dassia did a great job there.

One Thing to Know: The Elevator Is Tiny

The elevator was very small. As in, really only big enough for one person, especially if you have luggage with you.

This was not a dealbreaker for me, but it is something I would want to know before booking. If you are traveling with large suitcases, mobility concerns, or a group that wants to move around together, the elevator may be a little inconvenient.

It is a small detail, but it stood out enough that I would mention it to anyone considering staying here.

    The Pool Area

The pool area was really nice. It looked clean, relaxing, and well maintained. Unfortunately, when I was there, it was too cold to actually use it.

That was a little disappointing because the pool looked like it would be a great place to spend an afternoon in warmer weather. If you are visiting during a hotter month, I think this would be one of the best parts of the hotel.

The hotel also lists an outdoor pool, kids’ pool, sun loungers, and an outdoor heated jacuzzi among its facilities.

    The Staff

The staff was great. Everyone I interacted with was helpful, friendly, and easy to talk to.

We got a dinner recommendation from the bartender. I always love it when hotel staff can point you somewhere local instead of just sending you to one of the local tourist traps. The spot he recommended turned out to be a great dinner choice, and it made the evening much easier.

That is one thing I would recommend if you stay here: ask the staff for suggestions. They were helpful and seemed happy to point us in the right direction.

    The Location

The location was good, but it is worth noting that there didn't seem to be much immediately around the hotel. It was not the kind of area where I walked outside and had endless restaurants, shops, and things to do right in front of me.

That said, there is a nice walking trail along the water if you follow a road not too far from the hotel. I would recommend finding it, especially if you want a quieter walk by the water.

Since the route may not be obvious right away, I would ask the front desk to point you in the right direction before heading out.

    The Breakfast

They did have an amazing breakfast! Pretty much anything you could think of, and it was super fresh!

    What I Liked Most

What stood out most to me was the cleanliness and the staff. Those two things can completely change the feeling of a hotel stay, and both were strong here.

The rooms were nice, the hotel felt cared for, and the staff was genuinely helpful. Even though the pool was too cold for me to use, the area itself looked lovely and would probably be a great place to hang out once the weather warms up.

    What to Keep in Mind

The elevator is very small, so pack that into your expectations. Also, while the hotel is in Dassia and close to the beach area, I would not choose it expecting a busy neighborhood with tons happening right outside the front door.

It felt more like a clean, comfortable base than a hotel surrounded by constant activity. For some travelers, that will be a positive. For others, it may feel a little quiet.

    Final Thoughts

Overall, we had a good stay at TRYP by Wyndham Corfu Dassia. It was clean, the rooms were nice, the staff was excellent, and the pool area looked beautiful even though it was too cold to enjoy during our visit.

I would recommend it for travelers who want a clean and comfortable hotel in Dassia, especially if helpful staff and a calm atmosphere are high on your list. Just be prepared for the tiny elevator and know that you may need to walk a little or ask for directions to find the best nearby waterfront path.
